About Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy
BioTE® is a form of bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT).
Bio-identical means that the pellets have the exact chemical structure as your body’s natural hormones. In contrast, synthetic hormones contain unnecessary chemicals and, in some cases, are made from horse urine (yes, you heard that right).
Bio-identical hormones are safe and natural. They are made from vegetables and 100% vegan.
BioTE® pellets are smaller than a grain of rice. Through a simple 5-minute procedure in the office, the pellets are inserted underneath the skin of the upper buttocks area. You won’t see them or feel them.
The BioTE® pellets are then slowly absorbed into your bloodstream over several months. This mimics the natural release of hormones in amounts that your body is accustomed to needing. You may start noticing the positive effects within a few weeks, but it may take your body a few months to feel the full effects of bioidentical pellets.

How Much Does BioTE® Cost?
The cost of the BioTE® hormone pellet therapy insertion is $450 for females. Full payment is expected at the time of the procedure. This does not include the cost of the consultation and lab tests, which can be run through your insurance plan.
Unfortunately, insurance does not cover the cost of BioTE® hormone pellet therapy. We do, however, offer patient financing through Healthcare Financing of America (HFA) and Care Credit (view options in our Patient Portal).
